FuneralCoverage.co.za is committed to handling your personal information responsibly and in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
When you request a funeral cover quote, we collect: your name, contact details (phone, email), province and city, age range, employment status, and your cover preferences. We also capture basic technical data such as referral source and UTM parameters to understand which campaigns work.
Why we collect it
Your information is used solely to match you with approved insurance partner(s) who can provide you with a relevant quote. Without these details, we cannot connect you with the right partner.
How we share leads
We share your details only with the approved insurance partner(s) matched to your specific request. We do not sell your information, place it on any open marketplace, or share it with parties unrelated to your quote request.
Consent
You provide explicit consent (POPIA consent) when submitting a quote request. Marketing consent is separate and optional — you can opt in or out without affecting your quote.
Opt-out
You can opt out at any time by emailing hello@funeralcoverage.co.za. We will remove your details from our database and notify any partner we shared your lead with.
Data protection
Data is stored on secure, encrypted infrastructure with role-based access. We retain lead data only for as long as necessary to fulfil your quote and comply with regulatory requirements.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you believe your rights have been violated.
